… everyone hears it, and that’s exactly the effect that I need! The build of my Tiny House is almost completely financed, but I still need a little bit of money for the rainwater collecting and filtering system and the interior. For that I’m putting together a crowdfunding campaign, which will start on the first of July.
To start with a bang I’ve created a ‘Thunderclap’ and asked my friends, family and other relations to use their Facebook or Twitter account to register to my Thunderclap: http://thndr.it/1B0Kh9y
I would very much appreciate it when you, reader of this blog, would do the same!
Thunderclap ensures that, when enough people (100) register, on the day my campaign starts a message is posted on those people’s Facebook timelines. This is a one-time only thing, you don’t need to worry about more messages showing up on your timeline. When Thunderclap posts the message on your timeline all your friends see it, and so my campaign will be widespread on the first day. Registering is easy and quick and you’ll be doing me a huge favor!
And now other news!
Last Friday Koen Derksen came to film me in my home in Langedijk for his documentary about the Tiny House movement in the Netherlands. Naturally, it was probably the hottest day of the year, so try keeping a cool head on camera… pfff… :) Thankfully Koen is a very nice guy and I enjoy talking to him about the subject of his documentary (the Tiny House movement, not myself). And he really put me at ease, despite the fact that there was a camera pointing at me, which I thought was quite intense! Lots of ‘takes’ later, we were done and we went to sit in the garden to talk a little more. Hopefully there are some useful bits in the film. Koen will also come with me next Friday to Olst to visit Hermit Houses and see the build of Jelte’s Tiny House. I’m very curious to see how that is looking at this stage! And, of course, we will get some serious work done on the design for my Tiny House, I can’t wait!!
