It is a beautiful sunny day, my house is tidy, and it is time to take some pictures of the interior! I have now made my heavenly Tiny house all my own; I have given it my personal touch. Yesterday I hung up my guitar, put up a shelf in the kitchen for my juicer and blender, and put in a new spice rack. The latter I did while swearing and ranting I have to say. I have never been handy with power tools, but I managed to put it up. It may not be perfect, but I did it myself! I’m learning new skills as I go along, haha!

I’ve really enjoyed using my kitchen and I’m trying out new recipes. You’ll read more about that soon. For example, about the all-powerful delicious granola I made the other day! I just get so happy when I look at that wonderful Bruynzeel kitchen; it’s exactly the way I wanted it. The only thing I miss is my dishwasher. But it’s a small price to pay for the lifestyle I now have.

It’s pretty hot this week, but inside my Tiny House it’s rather cool. When it’s very hot I open the Velux skylights and close the skylight curtains, I open the sliding doors and all the windows. I then have a lovely breeze inside! The Celit 4D wood fibre panels keep a lot of heat out. The tarpaulin I’ve stretched above my deck also helps; it creates shade on part of the façade and on the kitchen window on the south side. On cool days the windows let a lot of sunlight and therefore heat in, and if I close the windows on time it stays pleasant in my Tiny House for most of the evening. I also have insulating curtains, they are double darkening plisse’s that help control the temperature at night and during the hot sunny days.

Jack loves lying on my bed all day. It’s his favorite spot. High and dry and safe. Hella sometimes makes her bed in my wardrobe; I’m not very charmed by that: hair everywhere! I have also bought a dustbuster, which is a necessary evil with two cats. But to tell the truth, we all love our life here! We are very happy and content!
Hi! Love your homes! I am building a tiny one now.
In your first tiny house, what type of wood did you use for the cabinets and ceiling? What is the floor material? Thank you!
