Are you sincerely interested in living in a Tiny House on your own land in the surroundings of Amersfoort? Then keep on reading, because I might be looking for you!
Imagine: you gather a bunch of people who want to live in a Tiny House. A group that is willing to unite in an association, in order to buy land for a permanent Tiny House living project. You seek the assistance of experts on building regulations, financing, a Tiny House expert with a large network (Hi there! :)) and you simply go for it. Wild dreams? Not if you put it in the hands of the right people!

Not that long ago I got a message from Gerald Lindner from cc-studio, an architectural and engineering studio In Amsterdam. Like me, he was a participant in the SBS-6 series ‘Your own dreamhouse’; he built a glasshouse home for his family. Gerald had seen an interesting piece of land that will soon be up for sale: a gorgeous woodsy area in Leusden where the Waterloo camping grounds used to be. He asked me: wouldn’t that be a brilliant location for a Tiny House living project? Perhaps we could work together? Let’s get to know each other first, I thought.
Last Thursday I met Gerald and Danny of cc-studio in their office in Amsterdam and we had a very good conversation. I got excited and I see great potential in realising a Tiny House living project in the surroundings of Amersfoort together, with an enthusiastic group of Tiny House residents-to-be. We’ll have to see if this will be in Leusden or somewhere else. We’ve established some ground rules. Is has to be about:
- Living tiny legally
- diversity, in houses as well as residents
- affordable living
- environmentally friendly living
camping Waterloo, Leusden
On Thursday May 17th, we’ll have a first information session from 20.00 until 22.00 p.m. to meet possible participants. Just to make things clear: the plan is to set up an association with a group of Tiny House aspirant residents, to buy land together via collective private commissioning (CPO). The Tiny Houses can be bought or built individually or as a group. We’ll have meetings with municipalities and financers as a collective.
During the first meeting on May 17th in Amsterdam, we’ll tell you who we are and what expertise we bring to the table. We want to hear from you how you see your Tiny House life. We also want to get to know people who are willing to help design this project. Are you interested? Then fill out this form with your name, e-mail address and short description why you are interested in participating.
(not applicable anymore, sorry!)
Are you as excited as I am? Let’s do this!
