I am procrastinating… something I am quite good at sometimes. Friday is my housekeeping day; I do the laundry, food shopping and tidy my house. But I really hate cleaning, so that’s why I’m great at procrastinating… ;) Ultimately, I will do it, because I hate a dirty and untidy house even more. But it’s just so boring doing the same thing each week. This is something I really look forward to in moving to my Tiny House: I won’t have nearly as much work cleaning it! It will get messier more quickly too, but it will also be really quick to tidy up. Until then, I will follow this from time to time:
I’m going to visit Monique today. I met her through my Facebook page Tiny House Nederland and together we are coming up with a plan to request a plot of land for a few Tiny Houses, for a few years in the Alkmaar area. Preferably in Bergen as that is where Monique lives, and it is really beautiful there. Today we will move ahead with the plan and two gents from Bergen town council will join us to discuss Tiny Houses. We will talk about possibilities and impossibilities for people wanting to live in a Tiny House in Bergen. Can’t wait! It’s great to see that there is interest, in any case. Monique told me that there is a similar initiative in Hoorn; the group there is also interested in acquiring a plot of land. Apparently, they will submit their plan in January and have used some of my blog texts. That makes me feel quite proud! It’s all rumor so don’t pin me down on this;)
On Sunday I will visit Frieda for a Tiny House meetup! Koen will join me and we will meet other ‘tiny housers’ there. Some I have already met, others only via online contact. I’m really looking forward to it! A whole day devoted to talking about Tiny Houses: building, minimalizing, obstacles that we face like legalities and rules et cetera. Lena and Laurens, as well as Dimka (Dimka Wentzel www.tiny-house.nl) will be there too. Therefore, it will be an ideal opportunity to talk more about the building of my house! Dimka has invited us for a meal as he doesn’t live far from Frieda. That way we can finalize our plans further after an inspirational day – love it!!
Ok, I really should get to work now… Oh, before I forget: tomorrow (Saturday, November 7) there will be an article in the newspaper NRC Next about the Tiny House Movement in the Netherlands. Have a great weekend!
